Hi. I'm Classy Chiq and welcome to my "Ramblings." I'm 24 and a Mass Communications major at UC Berkeley. No-- I am not a graduate student, but a lowly undergraduate (I'm still sorting through my post-grad plans and I'm sure you'll here about them soon enough). I love and adore my major because it's so broad and I get to take course like "Topics in Television: Comedy" and write essays on Chappelle's Show and watch the Queer Eye episode of South Park when we studied prime time animation (the coolness of which was almost cancelled out when we had to study kidcoms and watch Lizze McGuire). The important event which is spawning this blog is my first trip out of the country and I mean OUT OF THE COUNTRY -- I haven't even been to Mexico, which is amazing considering I've lived in both Southern California and Texas. I'll be studying abroad at the University of Sussex. I'll even get to spend my 25th birthday there. If this sounds remotely interesting, stay tuned as I document my preparations to departure, my trip and I'll most likey continue this on through my senior year at Cal.
